
Cupcake Treats began in 2009 in Adelaide. Its founder, Monique Kleine, saw that it was obvious the demand for her cupcakes was becoming greater. She baked cakes throughout her childhood but wasn’t introduced to cupcakes until 2008 when she was given some baking equipment for Christmas. Monique originally started life after school down the path of computers and photography, but something didn’t quite feel right until she came across cupcakes!
Cupcake Treats was born out of organising another big cupcake related event – Cupcake Camp Adelaide! With our tasty cupcakes and the cupcakes of twelve other bakers, they teamed up to raise over $1000 for Camp Quality and sell over 400 cupcakes in under three hours.
A Cupcake Treats cupcake is baked from scratch with no packet mixes! They’re freshly baked for each order so you get the best tasting cupcakes. Our cupcakes are light and moist enough to eat on their own, and have just the right amount of frosting so you don’t have to make the decision half way whether to eat the cake or the frosting to catch up.
We are constantly trying new recipes to give you the newest tastiest flavours, and we also welcome your feedback and flavour suggestions! We also try and cater for anyone with special dietary needs, with dairy-free and gluten-free an option in our kitchen. When we bake these we take the most care possible to ensure they really are dairy/gluten free.
Our cupcakes come in three sizes, regular (similar to muffin size), mini (about 3/4 the size of regular) and bite size, which is about half the size of the mini! If you’re not sure what size to get, send us an email and we can help you choose the perfect size and amount to cater your event.
